Chemical properties

Pure product is colorless crystal, no smell. M.p. 155 ~ 156℃, relative density 1.29. Easily soluble in benzene, chloroform (230g/L), acetone (80g/L, Chemicalbook carbon disulphide and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in ether and ethanol (& LT; 10g/L), insoluble in water (30mg/L). It breaks down in acid. Industrial product is white or light yellow powder, M.P. 146℃ above.

 

 

Toxicity

The acute oral LD50 of rats was 780-865 mg/kg.

Acute oral LD50 of mice is 1500 ~ 2000mg/kg.

It has a stimulating effect on the mucous membrane and skin, and has an allergic reaction to drinking alcohol in long-term contact.

Carp LC50 was 4mg/L.


Usage:

It is a broad spectrum protective fungicide with a residual effect of about 7 days. It is mainly used to treat seeds and soil, control powdery mildew, smut and rice seedling blight of cereal crops, and also can be used for some fruit trees and vegetable diseases. If 500g of 50% wettable powder is used for seed mixing, it can prevent rice blast, rice leaf spot, barley and wheat smut.
