Product description:

Metsulfuron is an ultra-low dosage sulfonylurea herbicide for controlling medium-broad-leaved weeds in cereals. It can be transferred upward and downward in the plant body and used as a herbicide before and after wheat sprouts.

Physical and chemical properties:

The pure product is a white crystalline solid. m.p.158℃(163~166℃), vapor pressure 3.3×10-10Pa(25℃). Solubility in organic solvents: dichloromethane 121g/L, acetone 36g/L, methanol 7.3g/L, ethanol 2.3g/L, xylene 580mg/L; solubility in water varies with the pH value, respectively 0.27g /L (pH=4.59), 1.75g/L (pH=5.42), 9.5g/L (pH=6.11), its imido group is acidic, pKa3.3. The partition coefficient is 0.014 (pH=7). The half-life in the soil is 7-30d. Easily hydrolyzed in acidic solutions.

Usage:

Super efficient sulfonylurea herbicide, branched chain amino acid synthesis inhibitor. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, broad spectrum and internal absorption. The dosage per hectare is 4.5-7.5g of active ingredients, used to control a variety of broad-leaved weeds in cereal fields, and can be absorbed by roots and leaves and transported upwards and downwards. It is active on windweed, ryegrass, polygonum, vinca, chickweed, shepherd's purse, corn poppy, small wild sesame, buckwheat vine, etc. Poor effect on pigs. Increased dosage can cause slight yellowing and dwarfing of crops, but does not affect yield.
