EU extends approval periods of prothioconazole, S-metolachlor, tebuconazole

2022/05/30 13:59

The European Commission announced the extension of the approval periods of some pesticide active substances.

According to the Commission, due to the fact that the assessment of those active substances has been delayed for reasons beyond the control of the applicants, the approvals of those active substances are likely to expire before a decision has been taken on their renewal. It is therefore necessary to extend their approval periods to provide the time necessary to complete the assessment.

TEBUCONAZOLE

The approval period of the active substance flurochloridone will be extended to 31 May 2023, and the approval period of beflubutamid, benthiavalicarb, boscalid, captan, dimethomorph, ethephon, fluoxastrobin, folpet, formetanate, metazachlor, metribuzin, milbemectin, phenmedipham, pirimiphos-methyl, propamocarb, prothioconazole and S-metolachlor will be extended to 31 July 2023.

The approval period of Metam will be extended to June 30, 2023, and the approval of metamitron, pyrethrins, gibberellic acid, gibberellins, tebuconazole and sulcotrione will be extended to 31 August 2023.
